Tasted in a Riedel tequila glass Nice nose of agave, vanilla and oak. Citrusy with some fruity tones. I get cinnamon and caramel. Good barrel on the nose. Taste is agave forward. Nice dose of pepper and then barrel notes of oak, vanilla and caramel. Finish has an alcohol forward profile. Good repo.

Another really tasty sipper from Siete Leguas. They never disappoint. Plenty of cooked agave on both the nose and the palate with light barrel notes. Nose: cooked agave, black pepper, oak, citrus, vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon. Palate: the nose follows through to the palate. Cooked agave, black pepper, oak, citrus, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and vegetal. At this price point this is a well balanced reposado with plenty of sweet cooked agave. I really enjoyed this one.

Nose: agsve / caramel / vanilla/ butter/ pear / tea / lavender/ hint of chocolate/ cream soda Taste: sweet agave / mint / caramel/ vanilla / cinnamon/ banana / melon/ orange peel/ spearmint/ tea / nutmeg/ hint of chocolate / cream soda Finish: low viscosity mouthfeel with a lingering sweet and minty freshness. Clean rain water taste. This reposado is very good. It’s a bottle that fights way above it’s budget class and delivers. Siete Leguas is often overlooked because it’s so budget friendly, but I think it would shock people on what other brands it’d beat in a blind.

Initial aromas of agave, coupled with some vanilla, oak, and spice, although a bit more muted than the blanco. On the palate, brings in a good dose of agave sweetness, rounded out by hints of oak, cinnamon, and vanilla. The finish leaves behind strong notes of black pepper, as well as some cinnamon spice.

Aromas ooze of strong minerality, ethyl, soft oak caramel cooked agave, and toffee. On the palate is: cooked agave, vanilla, oak, toffee, light whiskey, ethyl, citrus tanginess on the sides of the tongue, pepperiness that makes the overall impression feel like a drink made for fall and winters. Not heavy on barrel influence but just enough to appreciate all the nuances. Exiting is a nice fresh mineral finish, with earthiness, light grassiness, pepperiness on top of tongue, with lingering oak. A pleasant goodbye indeed.

On the nose, cooked agave and some light vanilla. A bit of citrus and minerality. A touch on earthy notes. On the palate, definitely the agave goodness. A little but of toasted nuttiness, some very light vanilla. Not a favorite for me personally. It’s very good but I think the añejo and the blanco are both better, I wouldn’t stock this in my bar personally.

Aroma of light caramelized sugar, agave, and slight oak. Flavor is sweet up front followed by agave, wood, light butterscotch and herb. Finish is very smooth.

This is a certainly a quality tequila. My only issue is that I tasted more alcohol at times than I would have expected. But overall there are enough flavors to make this enjoyable.

Light golden color. Initial nasal impact is warming. Aroma of cooked agave, butterscotch, banana, dried flowers, pineapple, forest, clove honey, orange. Buttery mouthfeel with sufficient alcohol. The flavor leads with cooked agave and grapefruit drizzled with honey. The butterscotch and banana really show through here with a toffee note backing it up. Baking spice and barrel notes with some whiskey showing some ankle balance this reposado out nicely. White pepper carries on a medium finish but if you continue to retro nasal the flavor sticks around longer than the alcohol tingle. This is a favorite of mine.

The nose is cooked sweet agave, oak, light vanilla, and caramel. It's got some smoke with a hint of white pepper, and touch of tea. This is soft creamy nose which light mint and fruity aromas. The taste is cooked agave, smooth and silky, minerals, oak, some light heat on the back end, citrus, spice calmer light smoke, fruit, light pepper, a pinch of cinnamon and light caramel, and some light vanilla. The finish is a nice sweetness, some spice and herbs, pepper and oak, citrus with a slight late burn. I really like this Reposado, as it drinks a bit like a blanco, and has because a light color and overall taste.

This is becoming one of my favorites. Aroma is great! Pepper, cinnamon and plenty of cooked agave. Flavor is equally great with an interesting nutty flavor. Finish is good and stays a while.

Aroma : Some vanilla, citrus and agave notes. Earth and black pepper aromas as well. Taste : Black pepper heavy with oily, full agave, cinnamon, oak, some citrus. Not much caramel or vanilla to speak of. But it certainly doesn't feel like I'm missing out. Finish : Lingering agave spice and pepper. Some degree of oak and citrus.

Great start aroma full of cook agave and oak with hints of pepper , vanilla, citrus (orange), vegetal, chocolate, and earth. Flavor full of agave, black pepper, cinnamon, grass, oak, citrus. Long silky legs on the glass with a nice finish lingering taste of agave, citrus (cherry or orange) and pepper with oily mouth full. The Tahona wheel does an excellent job in the process of this tequila imparting earth tones throughout the flavor and finish. Great reposado, and definitely will have it again. I was surprised is a screw cap rather than cork cap.

Sweet and smooth on the nose. Agave forward, but no heat. Excellent taste. Smooth flavor, no noticeable smoke, light fruit sweetness but not overpowering the agave. A little heat on the finish, but nicely balanced.

This is surprisingly hot for 38%, it’s all agave all day.....I’m not complaining.....just wondering what the point is of even dabbling in light oak?!

Strong cooked agave, peppery and a bit grassy. Nice, long smooth finish. Solid repo, exactly how it should be.

I know, I know. I'm familiar with the history and I know how tequila should taste. I just prefer more earth than grass and more oak than pepper in my repos. This is solid none the less.

Picked up aroma of agave and citrus. The agave came through in the flavor along with a hint of black pepper. The finish was long and satisfying. After moving from WA State to Mexico my value rating is still a bit skewed. Even compared to other prices in Mexico this one is very fair.

Siete Leguas is a solid tequila and their reposado is a great example. It has a pale gold color and a sweet agave nose. I also smell citrus, cooked agave and a hint of butterscotch. The taste is smooth and the cooked agave comes through. The finish is nice. The taste lingers through the finish in a good way. If you want to taste good tequila go purchase any Siete Leguas product.

Warm fruity nose. Nice baked agave with spices and pepper. Floral. A touch of dill weed. Flavor and Finish: Licorice and fruity agave with nice pepper balance. Nice rounded feel in the mouth with a nice farewell undercurrent of caramel.
