This profile was solid (back then) Tried the shampoo cap bottle and enjoyed it Well balanced and good profile overall

Boozy and agave forward, this flavour profile reminds me of tequila when I first started drinking it, makes for a nice memory. No nonsense or additives, this is a well made tequila that won’t disappoint.

2008 shampoo top. Warm cooked agave, yet some crisp clean floral notes on the nose. Same goes for palate. Some slight smoke comes through for some reason, but a Pleasant surprise. Minty half way through with some nice herbal and sweet cinnamon balance. Great stuff if you can find it with a solid level. Although I prefer the 2010 round top release. This is solid AF..

Simple, not much to it. Aroma has celery, raw agave, bay leave, and grass. Flavor includes cooked agave, celery, grass, alcohol.

Updated 06/02/2025 (side-by-side blanco, reposado and añejo. All bottles purchased in 2012.) Initial aroma is very astringent with mint and slight floral notes. As it opens, some cooked agave begins to appear in the nose. Nice, “classic” blanco flavors - hot pepper, mint, cooked agave. However, fairly bland/one note with no complexity or anything that stands out. Warm, peppery spice holds on for medium to long finish. For as long as this has sat in bottle, I would say it is a solid mid-range (this had an entirely different meaning in 2012…the bottle cost $12.99) blanco that is fine for sipping.

Smooth. More bite than expected based on nose. Not easy to find any more. If you find it, buy it!

Review #123 - Dos Lunas Tequila Silver

I can't believe that I hadn't reviewed this one yet. I've had it plenty and I guess it just never crossed my mind. It's one of those that always just seems to be around (which is a good thing) and you figure you would have told someone about it by now.
