Batch 001 | This collab between David Suro and Carlos Camarena was sheer magic. One of the best blancos in the last few years. Complex AF!
Batch 001 | rating neck pour, put thru an aerator, which i dont normally do. this neck pour is quite good! anise off the bat! citrus, mint, cooked agave, minerality, fruity. now I really want to try the repo, but I dont have it!
Batch 001 | Slightly you proof kicks the flavor profile up. Well made blanco with lots of cooked agave, citrus and pepper
Batch 001 | Nose: Agave, mint, medicinal notes, anise, bell peppers, artichoke, zesty floral notes with white pepper Palate: Much more to my liking than the nose. Awesome punch of agave and very enjoyable. Glad this expression is an over proof because it really stands out as a result. Finish: Some nice heat on the tongue at the end
Batch 001 | Sighted and side by side with G4 Madera lote 04, I prefer the G4 in part because it is just so aromatic. By the time I sip the G4 I've already constructed an expected flavor profile from just the aroma. This has it's unique aromas, particular to La Alteña where this is made. Oven cooking, roller mill plus pine fermentation. The vats are impregnated with the effects of prior batches and help inoculate the mosto. First distillation is done with fiber and plays a large part in the rich mouthfeel. 46% ABV for the final product helps as well. Siembra Azul NOM 1414 Vivanco is made on one side of the city of Arandas and this Siembra Alteño NOM 1139 La Alteña on the other to the east. The Siembra Valles is from Cascahuin in Amatitán and closer to the town of Tequila than the other 2.
Sweetness on the nose and palate. Little bitterness mid palate. It’s not bad but I don’t love it
Batch 001 | Sweet agave on the nose and palate. Classic La Alteña, with a twist of herbal, pepper and licorice notes. Must try!
Batch 001 | Nose: sweet agave cooked / earth /vegetal / minerals/ pineapple/ hint of lime / tangerine/ anise / baking spice / cream soda Taste: sweet agave cooked/ anise / pepper/ vanilla/ mild cinnamon/ peppermint / pineapple/ green apple/ lime / tangerine/ orange blossom/ faint cream soda Taste Finish: very light viscosity / provides a nice palate coating despite a low viscosity mouthfeel. Lingering agave / anise / vanilla/ and tangerine citrus last through the entire sip, leaving light minty citrus aftertaste This new blanco ihas harmony but misses a touch on balance….the taste notes either seem to be there but muted or they’re playing AC/DC at stadium loudness. I really like the loud roaring agave, anise, and mild peppermint/mild cinnamon notes, but makes each pour feel like there’s something missing or some new flavor turns it up to 11. Overall I like this a lot and would definitely recommend to a more sophisticated palate owner.
Nice matalitic nose that flows in to a nice and easy sipper. With cooked agave, vanillin, and little citrus. Very nice
Nose of agave. Anise and grape and oregano. Melon. Light earth. Nice palate. Agave, citrus. Pepper. Brine. Cinnamon, floral, sweet honey. Mouthfeel is great. ABV is very good.
Batch 001 | If El Tesoro had a HP…(that’s a huge compliment)
Batch 001 | The 46 ABV elevates everything perfectly! Cooked agave, citrus, brine on the nose … Amazing mouthfeel with fuerte agave, lime, and mint. Nice long finish, perfect sipper. Well done gentlemen!!
Batch 001 | Wow.. one of the best blanco I’ve had the pleasure of trying.
Batch 001 | Wow, legitimately incredible! One of the best blancos I’ve tried in a while. Tons of sweet cooked agave, hints of mint and citrus, black pepper with solid minerality. Very well balanced with an excellent nose and finish. Highly recommend.
Batch 001 | Batch 001. Nice collab on this tequila. The nose is full of agave, minerals, citrus and earth. The taste is the same with some spice and mint on the finish. Loses a few points on price.
New Siembra Alteño Blanco from NOM 1139. Aromas: cooked agave, a little floral and minty, pine wood, and minerals. Taste: similar to the aromas - cooked agave, citrus, pine, mint, pepper, minerals, some alcohol. I did knock it a few points on value for the price I paid, but overall this is such a unique blanco expression from Siembra Spirits.
Happy to get my hands on this one. Tons of earthy notes to go around. A bit of mint comes through along with a refreshingly peppery finish. Buy it if you find it. Share with your friends. One of the best releases I’ve had in recent memory.

Batch 001 | Volcanic stone, minerals, ash, roasted agave, pepper long finish
