This is absolutely delicious, sweet cooked agave, with some nice spice, light pepper. Over all very pleasing, with nice long lingering finish

This special edition Calle is quite the treat. As part of their 20 year anniversary they blended theee blancos together to make this special edition and special it is! Beautiful agave and floral nose with mineralality, a touch of vanilla and tropical fruit. On the tongue, the flavors explode in your mouth and the sweetness of the agave comes forward to greet your palate. Like the nose, the mouth has a touch of minerality with light mint and cinnamon. I get fruit and citrus followed by a little black pepper. The finish is very clean and the viscosity is right in the middle between thin and creamy. A super nice tequila.

Nose: sweet cooked agave (huge) / caramel/ vanilla/ apple / floral / lime / bell pepper / jasmine/ cream soda Taste: sweet cooked agave bomb! / vanilla/ pepper / cinnamon/ banana/ melon/ apple/ cherry / lime/ lemongrass/ tea/ chocolate (how does it have chocolate notes without barrel aging? Is this barrel rested short term?) Finish: this has a powerful flavor finish / low viscosity- watery clean, but with a small lingering mouthfeel This blanco has me perplexed. It’s a special edition that aims to honor it’s tequila making tradition. But I can’t find information about it even on the Calle 23 website. The chocolate taste surely comes from a barrel resting period. Or does it? This is so sweet, delicate, and delicious.

NOT the Final Product!! Equal parts of muestras B C D. Nose: Lemon/lime, cinnamon stick, anise and powdery vanilla. Warm fruitiness with pineapple and orange standing out. Sweet cookie spices. Trace earth/mineral presence. Buttered broiled mushrooms. Timid aromas build and blossom given the chance. Flavor: Nice palate feel. Vibrant baking spices and pepper punch. Oily, buttery, dense texture. A fruity medley starring ripe agave. A touch of brine. The luxurious almond, vanilla and dried cherry custard finish goes the distance. The combined muestras far exceed their individual contributions.

A very special treat from Calle 23! I had the pleasure of first trying this with Sophie not too long ago. It is a fantastic blanco made from agaves grown in three different regions. This was made by Sophie as a tribute/thank you to the bartenders who have supported her brand over the last 20 years. Tons of cooked agave sweetness with chocolate hints and a little bit of citrus notes. A delicious and lengthy finish. A phenomenal tequila made by an even better person!

Nose is bright, floral, agave, spice, very nice. Pallet is light cinnamon, anise, agave, not bad but a bit thin/light for my pallet personally. Still nice a nice sipper though.

I had the privilege of trying this in a large tasting at Savia Agave Niche in PV. It was enjoyed along with Fortaleza Blanco Lot 150, Calle 23 Criollo, Amatiteña Origen 98, and more. This one stood out from the rest, and in a good way. It was most similar to Lot 150 from Fortaleza, but the pallet was sweeter. This is a very Sweet blanco, vanilla forward. Not overly complex. I believe this would be a great introductory tequila for someone who is new into additive free offerings. An amazing value at the retail price.
