Very sweet, but a good intro to “proper” tequi

Good sweet flavor and aroma, the additive aftertaste is apparent.

Aroma - vanilla, cotton candy, vanilla Flavor - vanilla, agave sneaks in, oak Finish - very smooth, sweetness changes to oaky somewhat abruptly

This is not your normal añejo - layers of sweet oak ad a pronounced coconut and vanilla note, really mellow and easy to drink, with delicious warming, spicy top notes. You get a lot of tequila for your money.

If you like your whisky then this Anejo will be right up your street. You immediately pick up vanilla and banana notes on the nose. However, the Agave is definitely there as well and there is no denying it’s a tequila. The second you sip it you can taste the sweeter notes taken on by the ageing, but they aren’t over powering. The Agave comes through nicely and there is an oaky almost dry finish, which makes you want more straight away! It is different to other Anejos I drink and dare I say it’s my favourite?!
