Aromas of rich baking spices, toasted oak, apple pie, deep caramel, and crème brûlée. On the palate, flavors of caramel melded with toffee, vanilla, baking spices, vanilla, and some stevia-like sweetness. A pleasant, oaky finish, with notes of butterscotch.

My bottle has a crown but it is 2022 and it says it was aged for 7 years. This was very good and a great value when compared to other equally aged tequilas. Natural sweetness and deep char notes paired very nicely with some cooked agave. The agave is more of a secondary note while in the añejo it still shines, very likely due to the 7 years. Highly recommend.

Aromas - vanilla, oak, caramel, dried fruit Flavors - cooked agave, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, 8 yr aging definitely leans more to whiskey profile

Still agave forward with good balance of wood, vanilla, nutmeg, spice. Good dash of pepper on the long finish

Aroma : Cooked agave, vanilla, and very light caramel against a backdrop of oak and barrel spices. Taste : Minor agave sweetness with more caramel, oak, and barrel spice, along with cinnamon and peppercorns. Finish : Long finish that expands with more oak and caramel. Slightly more spicy than the initial taste.

Nose: Big vanilla roundness blanketing agave forward aroma. Balanced barrel spices and a pinch of leather complementing the above duo. Flavor: More of the leather notes on entry. Light white pepper, nutmeg, caramel and mochachino. Sophisticated oak barreling.

Agave still comes through with lots of vanilla notes Great long finish, I hate to use the word smooth but it fits. This is a special barrel at El Conejo in Sayulita that is at 140 proof! Wow!!

Rated at MBTC 2018. Multiple pours of this 8 year single barrel Extra Añejo were consumed. Agave, oak and barrel spice combine to make this XA an elegant sip despite the lips imagery on the bottle. Well done.

This has a good flavor but I don’t pick up much complexity beyond the reposado. For me the suerte value is lost a little here. Harsh alcohol finish relative to other quality XA. Very good, not great IMO.

Excellent XA. Love the oakiness, yet the agave still shines. Hints of hazelnut, butterscotch and caramel. Tremendous value. Profile right up there with Rey Sol but at half the price. Highly recommend.

Matured with care, this XA retains forward cooked agave notes with oak and spice flavors. Some sweetness from caramel and vanilla notes. Really well made with an enjoyable finish.

This has tons of caramel and spices with a bit of pepper. It's easy drinking with very little bite.

Tasted this straight from barrel at El Canejo restaurant in Sayulita, MX. Bottled version will be slightly different as this one has continued to age beyond 8 yrs. An excellent XA with well balanced agave, vanilla and carmel notes without being sweet or straying too far from being a good agave expression.
