Quixote and Renate bought this tequila in Tijuana over Easter. That trip was so much fun. It was, of course, before Trump turned the water into a huge mess. Now, I must admit that I bought this bottle because I am a violinist and the bottle has a female violinist mariachi player. Plus it also has a really bad ass eagle that makes her skirt look like the China Poblana. It also has a really official looking Mexican sticker from 2014 on it, which made me think that perhaps it had just been sitting in the store for a long time. Now, aside from all the packaging goodness. I have to say I really like this tequila. This tequila is primetime salt of the Earth tequila. It does make me miss mariachi music, and cantinas, and churros. It has a wonderful pattern to its taste, starting with a high chalky feeling and proceeding to an earthy flavor and a very pleasant finish. To me, it was unusual for an extra Anejo and that it doesn’t try to be a scotch or an urban yak ( Siri wrote that and it’s too good to correct). It is really nice.
