NOM 1592 | Bargain for its price $20 Value Joven in the market and works great to be an introductory expressions to anyone exploring tequila. Flavor profile does it job in providing the singularity of a blended blanco and an aged expression.

NOM 1592 | Nose: Vanilla and a touch of butterscotch right up front, cooked agave hiding behind it. Also getting a touch of pineapple rind, which is interesting. Definitely a green/grassy note. Not bad, but overall a little thin. Palate: Cooked agave is there but hidden behind the vanilla and very light. There’s definitely some baking spice and cinnamon, some spicy notes. Very thin mouthfeel, the flavor dissipates quickly and the finish is short. Overall:This really isn’t bad, and I think for softer cocktails that aren’t too tequila forward, it will probably be great. I imagine it makes a good margarita. But overall, something is missing, it’s just lacking that depth of flavor that I really want. The flavor is great, the sweetness is nice, but it feels like it’s missing that punch to take it over the edge. I get the impression that a still strength expression would be really damn good, or even if they bumped it up to 43-46% abv. It really does hit a lot of good notes for me, which makes it almost frustrating. I want to love this, but it’s just lacks that agave boldness that I’m craving. I’d still recommend it as a decent budget mixer, I’m gonna be making a margarita with it right now, but definitely you can do better.

This is an interesting joven created by blending 2 separately distilled products, one from a copper pot still and another from a column still. A variety of barrels are used to age some part of the distillate resulting in a spicy earthy agave presence that is quite compelling. Agave, black pepper, caramel, and a tingling ethanol finish that belies the 40% ABV make this a delicious and quite unique product.

Aroma has lots of agave with just a hint of vanilla. The taste is sweet with baked agave at the front of the palate with a little caramel. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is nice and long with a spiciness and tingling on the tongue. I really liked this joven, it surprised me.

NOM 1604 | Upon the initial inhale, there was a perceptible surge of pepperiness, sour wine notes, and ethyl, creating an intriguing albeit bold introduction. However, with a bit of aeration, the aromatic profile transforms, revealing distinct nuances of white wine, pineapple sweetness, accompanied by tanginess and the delicious scent of yellow apples. The presence of sweet cooked agave, soft ethyl, and subtle lactic notes further intrigues. The tasting journey unfurls with the delightful straightforwardnes of sweet agave that mirrors the fruity essence of pineapple. A interplay of sour grassiness, honey, alcohol, white wine, white pepper, soft sweet yellow apples, and a pleasant plum note contribute to the overall flavor profile. Unexpectedly, a delicious freshness emerges, enhancing the tasting experience. The finish gracefully fades with echoes of pineapple, grassiness, refreshing notes, and the enduring essence of sweet agave. A slightly non-offensive pepper note adds a nuanced complexity, while minute traces of brine contribute to the overall subtlety. The finish culminates in a delightful mouth-watering white wine sensation, making the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable to me. For the price, this delivers

Is this flavored vodka? I found the aroma, if we can call it that, repulsive. Isopropyl alcohol. after a few minutes of regaining composure it smelled of faintly of curtis and vanilla. I went in for the taste and i’m not sure what I was drinking but it was not pleasant. sweet slight burn. I’d rather drink almost any other low cost tequila that has more burn and bite than this concoction.

NOM 1604 | Mine is NOM 1604 , my first Joven , it’s a mix 80/20 blanco/reposado. Interesting story behind this brand on their web site . Aroma mix between raw and cooked agave , strong organic honey, clove, caramel & butterscotch . Taste is same but more pronounced, especially the big hit of organic honey & clove. I think it’s a better sipper, than a mixer as they claim . Interesting as it’s value priced too . Give it a try !

NOM 1604 | I did not taste nor smell agave. Straight off the bat, the nose was so strong with ethanol that as soon as I smelled it, I took the glass away from my nose. As my nose got used to it, I smelled nothing but sweet vanilla and cherry with little to no Agave. On the mouth, again, just overly sweet with little to no agave. It had quite the significant burn and was just not pleasant. I had heard great things about this brand, but glad I tasted it at the bar and didn’t buy a full bottle.

NOM 1604 | Revisited after 6 months because I found on sale for $19 in OR. Lots of agave! A little oak & cinnamon and the slightest bit of vanilla. I would hit this at $19 any day. NOM 1604. Hit this again, maybe my favorite $19 tequila!

This tequila is unique. I'm still learning about diffrent tequilas and flavors so take this review with a grain of salt. I'm coming from Herradura Silver and Olmeca Altos Plata. Is this one bad? No, just different from what I've had. I didn't like it at first but after about a week of trying it out and trying to understand it I think it tastes somewhat good. Again, still learning.

NOM 1604 | On the nose, I can immediately smell lots of agave. As it continued to open up it began to have aromas of pineapple, as well as a vegetal, grassy quality. Finally, there is just a hint of caramel. When I sip this, I'm immediately greeted by a very nice roasted agave flavor, followed quickly by citrus and some green veggies. In the middle there is a brief peppery bite, and then it shifts back to agave and some pineapple for me. I believe I can also taste some slight oakiness and spice with the pepper. The finish doesn't last very long, but it is enjoyable. This tequila is fantastic and a great bargain!

This is some good stuff for the price, great mouth feel and a long finish. Clean Agave taste with some cinnamon, vegatal and mild sweetness. Also very good in a margarita. $22
