I had been buying this for Bloody Marias when Exotico wasn't available at Total Wine. This is terrible straight up and tastes of evidence of rumors of bulk Tequila being purchased and bottled. If this isn't straight diffuser it has a healthy amount incorporated. I joked afterward I needed some Jose Cuervo Especial to get the taste out of my mouth.

Nose: Barrel spices, caramel, black pepper, vanilla and fruit. Flavors: Cloves, cinnamon red hots, and vanilla. A little thin, but tasty. Finish has a tiny off taste and some bitter notes. This a great bargain brand from a good house. Mexican release is 38% and costs $150 pesos! Note: This rating is a few years old. The Legado currently on the shelves needs a revisit. I fear production methods have changed on Legado. Some flavors on this tequila now suggest diffuser in the process. So sad.

Good value repo that stands up against the best in blind taste test, less than $20 at TWS

Legado Reposado is a budget value pick ($17 @ Total Wine). A solid option for the price, which is what elevates this spirit. The Nose and Taste are overly simple, but smooth, pleasant, and nothing offensive or artificial.

Great value. I don’t taste any additives or undesirable flavors. It’s not going to impress you but I’m very satisfied for the $31 price point. I’m mixing it into bloody Marias

At $16 a bottle this is basically free so I’m cutting it some slack. I think the nose is better than the palate, there are some nice caramel/vanilla/baking spice notes that are obscured by alcohol and a bitter funk on tasting. This is excellent mixer juice if you’re throwing a big party, but for a budget sipper I’d rather pay a bit more for Cimarron/Cabrito/etc.

I enjoyed this one. A lot of people gave good reviews. Carmel, fruity, and barrel spice in the aroma. The 1st sip seemed super sweet. Vanilla, cherries, oak and cinnamon in the mouth. The finish you could taste a bit of cooked agave, black pepper, solvent. This seems like it would be a diffuer method rather than oven cooked?

Great as a mixer, and an ok sipping tequila. Not my goto for sipping, but it’s good enough. Given how much I like it as a mixer and the low cost, I definitely feel it is an exceptional value. It is something I keep in stock.

I've been looking for a good, inexpensive everyday sipping repo and was disappointed this wasn't it. Tasted weak, watered down. I'm sure it would make a great Margarita though. Our local Total Wine store couldn't keep this on the shelf at Christmas time.
