Nose has an initial alcohol blast that soon gives way to bold cooked agave, fruitiness and floral notes. Some pepper, mint, and minerals as well. There is a new prominent aroma to me that I cannot pinpoint - but love. It’s sort of sharp and dusty, herbal and floral/fruity. Flavor: Lively on the tongue - zinging pepper and red hot cinnamon. Agave hangs in there valiantly. My esophagus is numbing a bit! Nice anise, agave and lengthy finish.

Agave and alcohol initially. Letting this sit for a few minutes makes a bit of a difference as the blanco opens up and reveals roasted agave in abundance both on the nose and in the mouth. I find this to have bit of bitterness that I don't get with Tapatio 110 and it holds it back just a bit for me. This is potent stuff at 55% ABV and doesn't let you forget it in the least. A long tingly finish rounds out this tasty high proof blanco.
