Nom 1508. Nice and simple with some good warmth in the finish. Good mouthfeel as well. Aroma is the best part with cooked agave and light pepper and an undertone of a good vegetable garden. Taste is fairly neutral but ok. Finish goes a little bitter but not too bad.
The nose is a little mild, but the agave is front and center. A little citrus, some ethanol, and a note of almost over ripe fruit. A bit of pepper. As it opens up, the ethanol dissipates and I get more sweet baking spice notes. On the palate, cooked agave front and center. Very oily, full bodied. Citrus is there, leaning towards orange peel for me. A little bit of brine, some pepper. A nice appropriate sweetness. Wow, this one took me by surprise. I would put this right up there with Arette in terms of value and taste, it’s decently sippable but cheap enough that I’d have no problem putting this in an cocktail. Overall very solid budget blanco. Picked up at Ramirez in LA for about $20.
surprisingly good budget blanco. agave, vegetal nose. agave, pepper, floral with good mouth feel. would work well as a mixer, has enough to hold up as a cocktail. at $20, the value is a major factor in this rating
Aroma of cooked agave and alcohol. Flavor of agave, then overtaken by alcohol. Medium finish.
This one takes a bit to open up. Nose: a muted nose. Initial impression of olives, vanilla and agave. Some fruitiness. Trace spice presence. Flavor: Nuts, honey and pepper. Some oiliness with a touch of butterscotch. Finishes with jalapeño and some bitterness - but not to a fault. It’s not terribly complex. But not bad for $206 pesos!
Green pepper nose on this hard to find budget price blanco. Some bitter notes on the finish hold this back a little for me. I'll see what this is like in a month or 2. Still a pleasant $20ish experience.
nose is delightful with a little grit. exactly what I look for in a tequila. rounded nose of agave, spice and fruit. excellent. citrus, pepper, and agave tickle the tongue and lead to a smooth yet spikey finish
Bottle: LOTE 24DNBE0318 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked and raw agave, citrus, lemon, lime, pineapple, alcohol, black and white pepper, brine/salinity, vegetal, bell pepper, freshly cut grass, and subtle smoke…traditional and citrusy Palate: Cooked and raw agave, citrus, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, alcohol, black and white pepper, wet earth, flowers, rose petals, wet grass, jalapeño, metallic, and subtle smoke…flavors are even and complimentary Finish: Citrus, lime, alcohol, and jalapeño…medium length with full flavor, but a thinner mouthfeel Overall: This really opened up nicely after some resting. Aromas and flavors were quite balanced, making this not only incredibly easy to sip, but also extremely versatile for any number of cocktails. All in all for under $30, I’m not sure there’s a better blanco for the price.
It beats Cuervo. That's about all the compliments I can afford it. This has a medicinal, almost cleaning supply type taste with very little hints of agave. People cut this slack because it's cheaper which is fair, but you can still do way better for the price.
Blind tasted w/ Volans, Insolito, Don Nacho & San Matias Tahona blancos. Agave, agave, agave, very dry, no sweetness at all. Very slight (good) pepper finish. Excellent value.
agave, lime, pepper, pinapple, herbal(time)
Nice aroma with a hint of spice and no harsh chemical notes. Flavor is smooth and balanced. Not watery and not oily. Finish has slight hint of peppery spice. Not as much pepper as Casa Noble, but compare to it.
Great sipper very agave Forward
Agave's sweet is good. simple.
Nice nose: pineapple, citrus, sweet agave. Respectable palate, it’s good. Only problem: this stuff just has zero finish...none at all. It just dries out and disappears. Maybe their premium blanco is better.
Nothing really stands out nor does it offend. This is definitely better than the “Extra Premium” expression, but it’s still overpriced...Considering you can get a liter of Arette for less than a 750 of this and both are produced from estate farmed agaves.
It is good tequila without having much of a bite. A good base tequila that also wouldn’t disappoint more experienced tequila drinkers for the price.
Gran valor, buen sabor aunque algo alcoholoso y aun así no quema. Lagrimas y piernas gruesas.
Very good tequila for the price! You can taste the agave and very smooth! Highly recommend.
