Nose is redolent of raspberries, ripe agave and mellow oak, with some butterscotch notes. Round floral notes, nutty and cinnamon flavors. Nice peppery note. Balanced medium finish. Not stellar, but very pleasing.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: A10/24, bottled on 10-05-2024, tasted on 8-3-24. Color: light brown. Aroma: light cooked agave with light sweetness, piloncillo balanced with hay and agave fiber aromas, light sweet wood note, light resinous sweetness, hint of vanilla, light stone fruit sweetness. Hint of camphor burl wood. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, on the palate the sweetness seems like they are derived from the barrel aging, barrel spice, slightly spicy, brown sugar, although it is aromatic and tasty, however it is slightly too sweet and therefore a tad cloying and as time goes by the wood note becomes more noticeable. Slightly minty. Finish is medium to medium long, cinnamon, barrel spices, hint of cooked agave, brown sugar, with wood note persists.

Great tasting Anejo at a excellent price. Oak and agave flavors. Great find.

Got this in NJ on close out for $30. At that price it is one fine tequila.
