Nose: Different. Minerals, a medicinal bandaid note, light smokiness and trace citrus. There is a nondescript wood fruit aroma - maybe peach? Flavor: Smokey bitterness, thin, faint note of salted caramel. A chlorine like retrohale. Finish: Cloying sweet and annoying aftertaste. Not my cup of tea.

Very heady, especially on the nose and finish. Would be a good "cold night" tequila...

Lote: L01222, bottled on 28-09-2022, Mexican 35% abv. version, tasted on 10-8-23. Color: yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, vanilla, wood note, a touch of acidity, a touch of bitterness, feels thin. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, earthy, ends slightly bitter but dissipates rapidly. Finish is short, a touch of cooked agave with vanilla, wood note and light bitterness quickly dissipates.

This makes a decent mixer.

No tiene mal olor aún que la nota alcohólica sobre sale pero aún se notan olores a cítricos y un poco de madera el sabor es fuerte, quema la lengua y el aftertaste es malo te dejan el sabor a alcohol

Peach and fruity on the nose. Citrus, caramel and slight oak in the mouth. The finish is alcohol, artificial sweeteners and more citrus. Good for mixed drinks but not neat.

Aroma is medicinal and alcohol. Nondescript flavor with a weird sweetness on the finish. Wondering if this is from additives due to diffuser extraction.

Strong smell at first

I feel like this is a daily drinking tequila, suitable for Margaritas, Palomas and just any day you feel like knocking a couple of caballitos back. It is ok, not great or even good in a conventional sense but it has a good price tag so I would recommend it as a bargain tequila.

It’s not a premium tequila, it’s not as smooth as the gran centenario Añejo or reposado, it’s more for cocktails. It’s also very affordable.

Considering the price here in Mexico (198 pesos) this is an ok tequila. Would take it to a party with non-tequila drinkers at that price.

Got this as a freebie in a supermarket promotion, really enjoyed it. Surprisingly smooth.

New Booze: Azul from Grand Centennario

I'm happy to see a new under-forty-dollar 100% agave tequila hit the market.
