Bottle from 2011. Oak, agave, barrel spice of caramel, cardamom, caramelized agave. Quickly becoming Unicorn tears. Someone must have a large stash.

Complex and rich. one of the best tequila values out there IMO. Agave, caramel, spice and just enough oak. Delicious.

Even more peppery than the extra-anejo, but I think I might like it more because the complexity isn't so hidden. Lots of licorice, and I don't like licorice. But I like this.

Review #100 - Corrido Tequila Anejo - Revisited

The Corrido line is just a great line of tequilas. This is the best of the bunch. The smell, the flavor, the price, the presentation...this tequila is probably my favorite tequila when you factor in flavor and price.

Corrido is a formidable new kid on the tequila block

During the time of U.S. Prohibition, the Corrido, a musical form of Mexican folklore, often honored the tequilero, or tequila smugglers, who gained popularity along the border. The "smugglers" of Corrido tequila are hoping for a similar popularity.
