let this sit and open. earthy cinnamon strawberry! keeps changing the longer it sits. interestingly, it's not as hot as u would expect for a 50 abv hp
There’s a lot going on here but the secret is to let this open up. Drink slowly! Aroma is earthy, floral, a bit fruity and cinnamon. But it keeps changing over time as the alcohol blows off, so it’s a fun experience as long as you have some time. Lots of agave sweetness and a super long finish. A touch of mint and creamy caramel flavors. This is a fun tequila, but seriously take it slow and cherish it. And the agave-from-seed thing is mind blowing
I was hoping to love this after some of the early press I saw. I do really like it but it doesn’t meet the hype for me. The nose is earthy and floral. I get raw and cooked agave. I like a chocolate note and this has it. Maybe even a little strawberry. I really like the nose. On the tongue, I was hoping for an explosion of flavors but I get a dominant note of alcohol, anise and minerality. Agave comes through but pulling out individual flavors is hard. I let this rest a while but it is a first pour. It is possible this goes up for me later but for now it is a good offering, not a great offering for me. This one gets better as it breathes. Updated by a few points on third pour.
Clean agave and pepper on the nose. Pepper follows through the palate and finish with some heat. I like pepper so it’s good but the complexity is missing for me
Will update with tasting notes soon.
9-3-24: Let it breathe more and tried again Nose: earth / olive / citrus / pepper/ hay / sage / salt Taste: sweet agave cooked bomb / peppermint/ vanilla/ anise / cinnamon/ pineapple/ grapefruit/ orange peel / lemongrass/ lavender / hint of tobacco/ salt Finish: medium viscosity mouthfeel / lingering peppermint, anise, sweet agave cooked / the peppermint is very strong through the whole taste, but the anise and agave sweetness balance this well This high proof blanco is very enjoyable, though it has a strong lingering peppermint/spicy note that carries on well after the swallow, but leaves a minty freshness. After a second pour a couple days after the first try, the sweetness has risen up to balance the peppermint and spicy cinnamon and give a nice balance between the two. This is quite good and really appeals to the sweet tooth in me.
Amazing nose on this one. Very different, mint, pine, sweetness, flavors of citrus, cooked agave, very balanced, not a lot of heat on this one for 100 proof. Excellent
1 word....INSANE, and yes for the people that are confused, I raised my score from my video because the more I drank it.. the more I loved it

This is amazing!! I have had it a few times now and the more I have it open the better it gets! The nose is floral, earthy and lots of agave after it has rested. This may be my fav high proof. I can’t wait to do it in a blind. To many flavors to explain and the finish is amazing!!
Best tequila I’ve ever tasted
Smooth, slightly sweet. Lots of spice with some alcohol burn on the finish. In a good way.
Tasting notes to come. I really want to understand this flavor profile better. Right now it has a salinity to it & the viscous nature of the spirit helps it along a path. I really don’t let stuff sit in the glass long but I’m sure that would help this along. This one can really challenge your palate. It’s mellow & very sippable. Picture Delantero blanco but a high proof version.
Floral, sweet, and a little heat. I was waiting for this to hit stores for some time now. It was definitely worth the wait.
Excellent fruity nose. Sweet with slight pepper on the finish. Great swallow with heat starting in the chest.
highly recommend letting it rest and open up for at least 15 minutes. first taste was right after opening the bottle and was hot and not what I was hoping for. the next day, pored a couple of ounces and tried at 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. incredible difference. Nose: agave, and little floral. taste: first mint, agave, and a little heat. then strawberry and cinnamon. Finish is good more agave and cocoa. It is very complex, and every time, I get something new and different.
Nose: Agave,Pumpkin, Earth, Melon, Sea Salt, Minerality, Black Pepper, Black Grape Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied Palate: Agave, Anise, Mint, Jalapeño Finish: Black Pepper, Cantaloupe, Mint and Heat
Sweet green vegetal, herbaceous, mint. No taste of alcohol. Very complex fruit finish. Silky texture.
Had the Maestra Selección on three different occasions and enjoyed each pour. The nose has floral notes while the flavor has traces of dried fruit. Had I not known that this is the first seed grown tequila, I still would rate it high. Highly recommend trying it!
upfront nice but can tell it's hot or high profile, the middle is nice and the finish spikes you in the back of the throat.
Nice fresh nose with bright herbal, vegetal, and touch floral notes and some earthy notes. On the taste, got an initial sweetness followed by stone and wildflower honey. With more sips, got mint, bitter pine, and salty notes. Somewhat reminded me of the strong notes in the new Madre Tequila. Overall, a very nice HP for a reasonable price.
This is very enjoyable. It started out very light with an agave and citrusy aroma and an agave light pepper minerality with some tropical fruit earthiness. After about 10 minutes- wow- it really opens up- more pepper and agave- anise- citrusy and a silky agave pepper and earthy finish. This is truly something different- great job. Did someone say this is higher proof- I could not tell in any way… incredible.
This is a unique high proof with a great nose, fantastic flavors, and an amazing finish. For being 100 proof there is hardly any heat on this one. Nose: cooked agave, earth, grass, cinnamon, vegetal, and orange peel. Palate: cooked agave, grass, olive, cinnamon, vegetal, citrus, and anise. The finish is my absolute favorite about this high proof. It just lingers around and has a great viscous mouth feel. Very enjoyable sipper.
aroma: fruity and floral. a bit creamy but some cream on the nose. taste: definitely some heat at first, strawberry and cream.

Nose: Beautiful juicy and ripe fruit on the nose. Silky smooth butter, caramel, and plenty of earth character. The fruit truly is the star of the show. Cherry, cider, prune, pear, grapes, and tropical fruit. Mild herbal pieces of celery and sage. Citrus comes in with a blast of orange, tangerine and no absence of grapefruit. Palate: Very nice body with plenty of viscosity. Similar to the nose, the fruitiness is the standout for me. Apple, banana, Cherry, cider, and berry. While there is agave character, it stands somewhat in the back. It’s like a beautifully ripe fruit salad with tequila gently poured over. Easily the most complex tequila I have to date.
