Tasted through their whole line up 7 yr. up to the 21. Light wood flavors, not overly sweet. Obvious strong Tannins. Good cooked agave flavors. At $900 plus a bottle there are so many other xa’s to drink.

Aroma of dried fruit, oak and a bit of earthy mustiness. Tannins are clearly present upfront and the spice is smooth and subtle. The finish is short. After having been through 8 other Fuenteseca XA agings (7-7-8-9-11-12-15-18) this one is an anti-climax. Nothing special in aroma, flavor or finish. For a bottle that costs $900 this is a disappointment. Surprisingly, the older agings (15-18-21) were not at all barrel bombs that you might expect. But, and it is a big but, they were also not the nuanced flavor treats that you might expect. When the price of these older bottles is considered, it’s hard for me to tell anyone that they are “musts” when there are other fantastic XAs at a fraction of the price. 12/24/2018 - 6th Annual Xmas XA tasting

This is pretty tasty. Light, sweet with cinnamon and butterscotch with light barrel notes. Would recommend a pour but cannot recommend buying a bottle unless it’s a very special occasion.
