I enjoy the Cimarron blanco for cocktails and infusions but I don't love the repo. it's been awhile since I had it and I don't have my notes. but I recall not being a fan.

This closely follows the Blanco(that’s a good thing) but the sweetness and aroma are subdued slightly(yet another good thing). The oak exposure has brought a nice vanilla note to this, I would drink this again and again.

Amazing for the price, pretty much unmatched in my area. The nose is probably the best part, the finish is super short but there are no off flavors here. Easily recommend for any mixed drink or sipping.

Basic profile: agave, baking spices and oak overpowers a bit. Nothing complex but you still get some flavor fun and the best is they’re additive free Cheap and good alternative for party/events

Quite possibly the best budget friendly repo out there. Big bang for your buck. Not the most complex, but works well as a sipper and even better as a mixer. 1146 can do no wrong and keeps proving it with this line. Bonus points for price fo' sho'...

Almost the same nose as the blanco with a slight touch of caramel and barrel notes. Palate is that similar profile, agave, citrus and some pepper that’s rounded out with some leather notes and baking spices. Finish is easy, brief to medium and overall it’s thoroughly a great bargain. Could pass as a sipper better than the blanco, but still best situated as a mixer.

Prefer the blanco, but the price and a liter bottle make this light tasting Repo a great base for cocktails and NOM 1146 makes it legit

The earth and vegetal notes of the Blanco are made more mellow here. In return, you get a nice dose of cinnamon, caramel, and oak. Finish is nice and decently long.

The nose is delicate. I smell some cooked agave with hints of vanilla and oak. The is a sweet ethanol note that’s actually pleasant. I taste sweet cooked agave, caramel and a whiskey oak barrel. It’s more dry than sweet and it has a nice finish with hints of pepper. This was $27 for a liter in Austin, TX. The depth of flavor would be its shortcoming but for the price this is a must buy. Salud!

Older Mexican bottling 35%. $115 pesos. ($6.00 USD) Nose: Agave, berries, and barrel spices. Nice floral notes. Flavor: Fruity with just a hint of barrel aging. Honey, agave and light pepper. Berries persist in the flavor with some licorice. Another surprisingly good bargain offering from NOM 1146.

This is an amazing juice for the price. Compared to other tequila in its price range, it has an outstanding cooked agave presence. It's quite balance and there are no detectable augmented elements, which these days it's a great feature per se. Maybe a little thin on body, but not too much. Finish has a nice spice and cooked agave note, albeit a bit short. I can sip it, although not a life changer in that department. Definitely an amazing mixer and value!

Nose is ok, but only faint oak and vanilla come through. Flavor is nice. And so smooth. The finish heats up like sucking cinnamon bark on your tongue. It lasts more than 30 seconds! This is an amazing tequila at $20 a bottle. Even $25 would be worth it. This is a dandy little bargain tequila. This is a must have in you home bar. It's that good... for the price.

The reposado has spice in the body and on the finish, light on the wood, Good flavor went well with my chicken and red mole.

Mexican 35% abv. version, LOTE83CR14, marbete is from 2011, tasted on 3-23-24. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light fruitiness, light earthiness, light acidity, light citrus, yellow lemon, hint of mint, quite impressive considering its 35% abv.! Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and acidic balance buy fades away rather quickly and ends a tad bitter. Finish is short to medium, hint of cooked agave, hint of fruitiness, hint of citrus with a hint of earthiness persists but for a short time.

The Cimarron reposado offers some caramel and barrel notes that aren't present in the blanco. Overall, a great value on a versatile tequila that is smooth enough to sip but dynamite in cocktails.
