The nose doesn’t do this justice, I get some agave and oak of course but no indication of the magic to come. The port cask finish still has a strong backbone of French oak but gives way little by little to a warm, sweet crème brûlée mess inside a bottle. I’m going to be careful to make this bottle last, it’s a really great example of how the right barrel can make tequila shine.
