Not bad. Little to no burn. Has a defined bit of oak flavor with a sweet caramel.

2007 Marbete. Very off metallic note, not sure if something happened to the bottle as I enjoyed the añejo.

330 pesos for this bottle from 2009 at Jaime's in Arandas. Nice spice on the nose and in the mouth along with roast agave. Medium bold finish with some alcohol.

Agave and a bit of oak in the aroma but none of the sweetness that shows up in so many repos. Cinnamon spice in the flavor that is almost immediately cut with a soft caramel sweetness...nice. The finish is medium to long. 03-24-2018

Mexican version: 38%. Older bottle. 2011 Tax stamp. Nose: Warm and inviting fruit and agave. A hint of earthiness and herbs. A touch of vanilla kissed with cinnamon. Flavor: Spicy, herbal and peppery on the palate. Oily, buttery caramel. Another delightful tequila from Tequileña.

Compared 2 Mexican lots, both 38% abv., lot: 34PSR17, bottled on 25-03-2017 with a bottle with marbete from 2006, tasted on 3-23-24. Marbete 2006, points are for this lot: Color: yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, citrus, light acidity, hint of vanilla, very light wood note, agave fibers, slightly herbaceous, light orange peel, it has a hint of sorghum distillate. After 30 minutes in the glass a pungent but light agave honey aroma emerges. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, alcohol sensation is medium and doesn’t get in the way, nor does the light wood note bother. Light earthiness. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave, light citrus, light herbaceousness and light earthy notes persist. 2017 bottle, 84 points: Color: yellow. The difference from the older bottle is that this bottle doesn’t have the distilled sorghum aroma and is slightly minty, fresher, but the wood note is also more noticeable both on the nose and palate, therefore the agave note is more pronounced on the older bottle. This newer bottle is slightly less sweet but more on citrus.

The aroma resonates closely with the Blanco, albeit with a newfound presence of honey that gracefully enhances the profile. The comforting essence of cooked walnuts and molasses contributes to the warm and inviting aroma, while a subtle hint of ethyl, reminiscent of fresh chalk, adds a distinctivness to the olfactory profile. The taste reveals a continuation of all the prominent notes observed in the Blanco, now enriched with the addition of a delicious molasses tone and earthiness. Peppery ethyl sensations unfold bluntly on the palate and the throat, accompanied by a distinct brininess. The finish is unintriguing, with a lingering pepperiness and consistent presence of brine. A subtle thread of molasses persists, weaving through the palate and offering a teasing yumminess to the conclusion.

Agave aroma with a bit of mild cinnamon & spice. Bold flavors of baked agave, caramel, butter & cinnamon. Light pepper finish that lasts. Fully recommend this fantastic reposado

Purasangre Reposado Love it. Outstanding value. Soft, pleasant, and inviting. Very approachable. Aroma: Mild sweetness. Cooked agave, oak, cinnamon, and melon. A touch too understated. Taste: Delicate with a trace of sweet and bitter cinnamon heat. Cooked agave, light oak, fruit and black to add with the cinnamon. Traces of caramel and mint flitter in and out. Finish: Cinammon, black pepper, a little butter and herbalness play out for a medium to long finish.

Pure and full agave flavor. Very easy to drink and has everything I look for in a good repo. I like it just as much as the anejo.

Sweet Aroma, a little rain water aroma, not much agave on the nose. Flavor is a little bitter. With a bit of an aftertaste. Good value.

Creamy, light char on the Pina, grassiness in the finish .
