NOM 1500 | So much agave in this one. I think they skipped the process and bottle a Piña. Not sure how to describe this one other than so much agave. Definitely has to be on Blanco drinkers list

NOM 1500 | NOM 1500 Bottle Stamp: 017BCO40 40% Amazing cooked agave on the aroma as soon as it hits the glass. Floral, papaya, guava, banana and citrus zest follow. Caramel and cinnamon are also present. Very agave forward on the flavor with black pepper providing a nice prickle on the tongue. The retro nasal and long finish introduce wintergreen LifeSavers to the flavor. The finish goes on for days. I would put this up against a few High Proof blancos and it would hold its own. Delicious. Haven't had the NOM 1123 yet, but any time I see one from NOM 1500 it is a must buy. Excellent value. You need to find this one

NOM 1500 | Nose is deeply vegetal, earthy and kind of musky in a good way. Agave is prominent with a hint of sweetness and even cinnamon. Soft and round mouthfeel, there’s a minerality that’s nice. An easy mix of pepper and spice with low heat and a medium finish, that does get some complexity as it sits towards the back of the throat.

NOM 1500 | Mexican release NOM 1500 triple decker bottle. Aroma: Lively nose. Ripe tropical fruit, floral notes, flinty mineral notes. Trace cinnamon and citrus. Flavors: Cookie spices, mintiness, vanilla, and ripe agave. Medium pepper heat.

After pouring this tequila, my glass is about 3 feet away from me, and there is a nice scent of something sweet, crisp, and green coming from the glass. It reminds me of a baked apple - and my mouth starts to water. Wow, this blanco has a lot of beautiful aromas from caramel (from the cooked agave), fruit, spice, and a touch of pungent earth - everything that a “true tequila” should have. I’m a "finish" guy (as I say, "The Truth is in the Finish"), but man, I could just smell this tequila for hours!! I do hope that the finish delivers what the aroma promises - Big, Bold, & Complex. Yeah, the taste is there - I dig it! It starts off sweet and spicy, then leads to a wintery-spearmint finish. The ride on the finish is nice, of medim-long duration, and somewhat complex - it really tells me everything from the agave to the production process. And what it tells me, is that this is a “traditional tequila” from Amatitan. I’d love to taste this at still strength (55%+ alcohol), and unfiltered, to really dig into the earthy soul of this tequila!!

NOM 1500 | I thought it was a great blanco at NOM 1500. I haven’t had at 1123 yet.

NOM 1500 | First scent out of the glass gives a clean almost briny sea air quality with excellent notes of agave and citrus. A few sips in confirms this, then I start to get hints of a wonderful sweet apple finish. I don’t quite get the mint or pepper others have experienced. A definite repeat. Now to try the rep.

NOM 1500 | NOM 1500. Oily in the glass and nice mouth feel as well. Agave, pepper, mint and a bit of citrus with a nice long earthy finish.

NOM 1500 | Had these full 750’s along with the “triple decker” for several years; I like their campaign, “true taste of tequila;” this bottle has nice citrus & vanilla on the nose, slight pepper & agave; smooth across the back of the palate with more vanilla; I am guessing that there are additives here…prove me wrong! Until I am proved incorrect, can’t recommend this bottle; even at $40 USD, not a good deal.

NOM 1500. Nice clarity with oily legs in the glass. Aroma is floral, mineral and cooked agave. Flavor of cooked agave and spices. Very pleasant medium-long finish. Excellent value at $318 MXN.

NOM 1500 | Bought on sale for $30 at Binny’s, so it was a great value. Nose is really pleasing and initial taste is sweet and vegetal. I get a lot of mineral, pepper, spice, earth/soil. Not a huge fan of the finish and aftertaste as I enjoy a more mellow and clean ending. People looking for complexity and layers of flavor will love this. Salud! Had again and still love the flavor straight. I then tried in a margarita and it had too much spice and aftertaste for a smooth margarita. Might be better in other cocktails.

I could smell this all day and be happy but then I would miss the clean, green, spicy taste. Fairly complex and satisfying with layers of agave, mint and big time apple.
