NOM 1414 | Blind tasted: Another surprise! Old school reposado framework and rich in flavor! Wished they continued to this at NOM 1414

NOM 1586 | Tasting flight @ Little Conejo More of a mixer than a sipper, basic framework tequila

NOM 1586 | Process is good but definitely have the lactic mustiness to it. Starts off with agave and eggs then when it opens it goes to a nice agave sweetness, a ripe fruit with a little to no egg nose to it. Taste isn’t bad agave, caramel, black pepper little fruit I’m the middle (apricot) to it. The fruit really rounds this one out and brings it together. With a long finish

NOM 1414 | I did a quick side by side comparison to the current Chamucos from #1586. The older #1414 was bolder, richer and more nuanced. If you see some from #1414, it’s probably worth a shot.

NOM 1586 | Cinnamon and vanilla on the nose

NOM 1433 | Slight agave on the nose, very buttery finish

NOM 1586 | I’m a fan. Heavy on the vanilla, but well balanced. Sweet but still gets a pop of agave

NOM 1558 | What a turnaround from the Blanco, this tequila is big and bold, it would make intense cocktails! Earthy, herbal and tons of pepper. Not for the faint hearted.

NOM 1586 | Nose: Fruity with prominent oak for a repo. Pleasant barrel spices: cinnamon, anise, cardamom and vanilla. Flavors: There is a borderline woody harshness going on. A touch of bitterness accompanying the pepper - but this mellows as it opens up. On the flip side, semi oily mouth feel with vanilla and caramel, help to pull it all together.

NOM 1558 | NOM 1558. NOM 1558. NOM 1558. Interesting tequila has a few different NOMs. I compare it to some of the better stuff I've had.

Good sipping ok finish, good wood flavor for a repo nom 1558

Too harsh.bananas. Lots of heat back of throat.

I really like this Respo, although there was a bubble gum type finish that was suspect to that of some tequilas with additives in it.

NOM 1586 | Aroma is really nice- agave- vanilla- caramel- light oakiness. Taste- it’s pleasant. Balanced agave- oaky caramel vanilla with light pepper. It flattens out really quick leaving agave caramel on the palate: Finish is quick and super smooth- flavors do not last very long at all:

NOM 1586 | Nose : Agave , alcohol , citrus Taste : caramel and vanilla first taste , agave , mint , and woody/oaky , slight pepper finish .

NOM 1586 | Light amber color in this repo. The nose is great and doesn’t smell overly sweet or woody. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety feeling. Very smooth and amazing sipper. Value for this quality is also great.

NOM 1586 | Aroma is sweet with lots of wood. Flavor is decent and very drinkable while the finish is oily which is what I like. It’s hard for me to distinguish the flavor notes. It’s very much like whisk(e)y and I would recommend this to a whisky drinker any day.

Chamucos Reposado Overall: Cooked agave and cream soda vanilla, cherry with a nice peppery bite. A reasonable sipper, but not something worth chasing. Nose: Cooked agave with vanilla cream soda and black pepper. A slighy lactic funk. Not particularly complicated. Taste: Flows the nose, but a great bite from the pepper.

NOM 1586-Great smell. Agave with a little heat balanced with barrel but not too hot. Not agave taste that gets cinnamon in back that work good with the heat also in back. A little hot on the finish but with flavor.

Mildly Smoky, lime, agave. smooth. NOM 1586
