Nose: Cinnamon and mint, the aroma of sugar beginning to caramelize and tinny canned pears. Flavor: Slightly oily, nondescript sweetness with tell tale bitterness. Somewhat peppery with quasi cinnamon flavoring.
This one surprised me because I expected to rate it much lower than I did. Green agave, straw, pepper, herbal and cinnamon notes in the aroma. Flavor is somewhat consistent, with pepper dominant.
Pepper, bell pepper, vanilla
Only usable in mixed drinks or for regifting to noisy frat neighbors.
This tequila gets a bad rap. I bet it has more to do with price and diffusion. While not a go-to supper it’s an excellent option for cocktails.
Lote L02622, bottled on 21-06-2022. 38% abv. 226 años. Aroma: briny and first, after 15 minutes becomes a tad sweet cooked agave, light black pepper, light citrus, but notes are pretty light. Palate: slightly sweet cooked agave, minty, very light black pepper spiciness. Finish is short to medium, light sweet cooked agave and black pepper notes dissipate rather quickly. I didn’t smell nor taste any additives.
I always want to give every tequila a fair shot… Even from Casa Cuervo. I am pleasantly surprised it’s not terrible! Aroma has alcohol, agave, and some light minerality. The taste is quite a bit sweeter than the aroma profile. It definitely has agave and pepper, and maybe even some red hot candies on the backend. The finish leaves your mouth coated with a sweet syrup, which is always suspicious. But again, overall OK.
Smells like alcohol, minerality. Tastes peppery, maybe red hot candies
aroma: agave, pepper and alcohol notes taste: medicinal, hints of agave and anise without harshness. finish: medicinal notes overpowering all the flavor. Definitely an altered tequila strictly made for quantity and not quality. ok tequila for mixed drinks. your better off with tres agaves blanco.
Hard to beat for the price. So far my favorite blanco in cocktails. Earthy, even faint smoke and cooked agave. Of course, not a sipper. Cuervo recommend to store it in the freezer.
aroma...green pepper. taste
Aromas and flavour heavy of agave Peppery/spice Salt Some citrus Not the smoothest finish
Earthy nose is balanced by not striking with alcohol burn but is not drinkable on its own. Debating keeping for pure cheap mixer or pouring down the sink.
Inconsistent? I have had two different bottles. The first was decent and I would’ve bought it again so I did. The second bottle was nasty and really minty. I will give it a long time before I buy it again, but I will give it one more chance someday.
Was really surprised with this tequila knowing that it’s Jose Cuervo, I enjoyed it no burn or bite at all got it at Mexico $18 not bad for its value.
Unpleasantly sweet, acrid nose- canned green beans, almost- green beans also noticeable in the taste but mellows out to a relatively characterless finish. This is a cocktail-only sort of tequila.
Clearly a step above the normal Jose product but still rather lackluster. Definitely can taste the additives and the diffuser. It has almost a solvent flavor. This mixes just fine though and wouldn’t recommend it for sipping
This is my yard stick for average tequila. It's just fine for average weekends. Better than some more expensive tequilas. Okay to sip and in a paloma with pink ting.
Pepper, slight lingering banana flavour. Bitter going down. Fine as a mixer.
Tequila perfecto para preparar cantaritos!!
As soon as it is poured does it bring out notes of banana. It has the essence of plantain and banana bread. Smooth in character with a robust finish that is hearty but not strong in heat. Not a quality finish but still a great take on bringing out unique flavors of agave not commonly found.
sweet, easy drinking, not memorable but great for making margaritas.

First, this is nothing like it's cheaper blanco 'Especial Silver'. On the noze: Agave and pepper, forward with some alcohol and cinnamon. Faint vanilla An odd chemical tinge that is hard to place. On the tongue: Again the agave, pepper, cinnamon and a little citrus. Nice warmth and spice, but too bold. While not a great sipper, I'd say this is would do well for Margaritas. The price point is fair as a mixto.
