Anise, cough syrup, sour apple candy. Loads of white pepper, a tad thin with a burn through the brief finishes Not meant to be a sipper, but an affordable mixer that’s still crafted with some care and is accessible.

Nose of the vanilla, sweet agave, vegetal, light pepper, light citrus, with a slight solvent presence and a bit of alcohol buzzing about. On taste- vegetal, sweet, light citrus, alcohol, and a hint of a glue like solvent. Overall bland and light, but a decent inexpensive daily tequila (especially for mixing) but not great as a sipper.

Aroma : Citrus, alcohol, agave. Taste : Light citrus and agave, lightly peppery with some alcohol. Very mild flavor. Finish : Short/medium length with a little more agave here. Overall a fairly bland tequila. But unlike other budget tequilas like Arette or Olmeca Altos, I can find this just about anywhere, which is good if you need something last minute to bring to a party.

There is nothing outstanding going on here but I will always have a soft spot for this product.....it’s just so easy to drink for so cheap!! Tight and bitter at first and then kids of sweetness on the back end, it’s PERFECT for making margs!!

Lactic and herbal nose, medium mouthfeel and herbal, mineral finish. Nice natural agave sweetness.

Mexican 38% version. Nose has fresh floral notes with some alcohol. Fruity, with citrus and agave. A mineral element as well. Round ripe fruit on the palate. A little pepper kick. Spices and a banana like nuance. Coats the tongue nicely. A very solid economy brand. I’m surprised how much flavor is packed into an autoclave and column still product!

This is one of the most affordable tequilas on the market, and you can get it just about everywhere. It's best used for cocktails, and since its 100% agave, you'll be grateful the next morning.

A lot going on for an inexpensive tequila. I concur with the other reviews.

Surprisingly complex nose of cooked agave, herbs, earth, pineapple and clove. Simple but pleasant taste of roast agave, black pepper and clove. Thin and soft, with a decent if astringent finish. Great value.

Lots of alcohol on the nose but pleasant peppery after taste, good mixer for the price. Fun label and marketing coming from an Italian house: Campari.

Smooth finish and it’s a bargain. This is the go to for cocktails and taking shots with friends. I have 2 favorites as of now. This & casamigos.

Pretty solid all around and my go-to for cocktails using blanco tequila. Good herbal and mineral notes, with that wet sand/flinty character I like.

Nothing special here.. but nothing bad either. This is my go to for mixing. It’s a wonderful value though. Too me that’s where it excels, value.

Agave ethanol nose, sweet citrus taste with peppery smooth finish. Make a fantastic margarita with a wonderful slightly peppery finish. And with the price factor, (I paid $18 at Vons) this is a great tequila.

Not a lot going on here as far as an assertive agave flavor or aroma. Bland and weak. On the positive side, it does not taste like rubbing alcohol or solvent. Very cheap.

There is not a huge punch of flavor with this tequila, just very smooth and calm. Which I enjoy, you do get agave flavor initially and pepper on the end, less fragrant than others though it is my favorite to keep around.

Review #260 - Espolon Tequila Blanco

Being the type of guy who's always on the lookout for a good value, I found it nearly impossible to pass up Espolon when I saw it for under $20. It's a good brand from a good distillery.
