I enjoyed this immensely Sweet aroma, inviting butteriness, orange citrus, toasted bread, and cooked agave. The taste was fruity with delicious green apples being the most prominent and dominant note perceived, with a fresh and soft vanilla sweetness that complimented the fruitiness while the taste of buttery golden toast added a decadent flare for the palate’s enjoyment. For me, I could drink this consistently and revel in its flavors with no complaints and be content to have this as a go-to for myself. I love tequilas that make me want to eat what I’m drinking and this is soft earthy fruits in a bottle with the perfect tinge of a bready yeast note. I wish this was a bit higher proof, I can only imagine the amplified notes. Bravo Jaime Villalobos Sauza.
This Repo presents a rich and indulgent aroma. Upon first encounter, one is greeted by the inviting scent of cooked agave, intertwined with notes of caramel and honey. Subtle hints of sweetened cacao and light ethyl add depth to the olfactory experience, while a gentle yeast funk, less pronounced on the second night, lends a nuanced complexity. A whiskey essence further enhances the aroma, teasing a gourmand tasting experience to come. On the palate is prominent oak and cooked agave flavors accompanied by a soft barrel spice that delivers a gentle warmth without overpowering the palate. The second night of tasting is more refined, with reduced sting in the throat and chest, allowing the richness of honey, sweet potato, and caramel to shine through. Nuances of toffee, light milk chocolate, and a distinct whiskey tone further elevate the tasting experience, while a potent floral note, brine, and orange citrus undertones add layers of taste. The finish has the essence of cooked agave and caramel lingering on the palate, perfectly complemented by the fading whiskey spice. This tequila, to me, is a great gateway to the world of Reposados.

Here's the reason for the añejo and extra añejo shortage that you probably didn't know was coming.

We sent 4 new-to-market reposado tequilas to our tasting panel to get their opinions. They were selected because of their different flavor profiles, and because we think they are good quality tequilas worthy of consideration.
We sent six blanco tequilas to 28 members of the Tequila Matchmaker Tasting Panel to rate blind. Four of them are new to the market, and two of them are tequilas that have been around for a long time.
The Suave line is a solid, clean, additive free line of tequilas. Jaime Villalobos Sauza really puts his all into making this a special brand of tequilas.
