Classic diffuser aroma - fake fruit, pine, medicinal, lots of alcohol. Not very appetizing.
NOM1437, Mexican 38% abv. version, no lot codes, marbete is from 2010, tasted on 4-5-24. Color: yellow to slightly dark yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave, light herbaceousness, light vanilla, light wood note, strong minerality or light metallic aroma, a drying sensation. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, ends slightly dry. Finish is medium, light cooked agave, light vanilla, light wood note with strong minerality or light metallic note persists.
Mexican 38% abv. version, LOTE PIB 004 091111, marbete is from 2010, tasted on 3-26-24. Aroma: raw agave, thick & oily, has a sorghum distillate aroma, green vegetal note, after 20 minutes in the glass the agave becomes slightly sweet. Slightly earthy. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, thick mouthfeel, good sweet and sour balance. Finish is medium to long, raw agave, green vegetal note, distilled sorghum aroma with a hint of earthiness persists.
Rated blind. Even though it has spent time in a barrel, it still has that strong diffuser aroma. No thanks. Color is lighter than most reposaodos. Taste is medicinal. I’m not a fan.
