This is a blend of tequilas from several really good distilleries. Too bad it was ruined by adding product from Cuervo and Sauza. Nice for the collection, not so much for drinking.
Marbete is from 2009. Color: very light yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light acidity, light citrus, earthy, light stone fruit sweetness. Light vanilla. Palate: light cooked agave, light vanilla, earthy, light sweet stone fruit sweetness, at beginning it is slightly astringent but balances out. Orange peel. Finish is medium to long, light cooked agave with light vanilla notes and orange peel persist.
Aroma: agave, olives, smoke, dry fruit, floral notes. Palate: cooked agave, sweet, dry fruit, maple, nuts. Finish short.
