Nose is heavy on the caramel, no agave detected, i think i get a hint of cloves. The taste starts with a water down caramel, a little peppery, finishes with a sweet alcohol taste.

interesting non tequila nose. aroma is vanilla, caramel, and something else that is sweet that I cannot place. flavor is as the aroma indicates. I know it has additives but they seem muted. finish is simply the same that lingers on the pallet. very one dimensional.

$16 pour. I got a whiff of diffuser funk on the nose at first but it seemed to go away after a couple minutes. This drinks more like an añejo than a reposado, the generic oaky/spicy notes drown out all the agave. Maybe there’s a pinch of smoke here? Not as much as I would expect from an earthen pit as they claim. I’m also left with a sticky feeling on my lips/glass which isn’t a good sign, although it’s an agave distillate so additives might be the norm (I’m not sure). This seems pretty overpriced for what it is.
