LOTE03BLY, acquired recently, tasted on 4-26-24. Aroma: strong minerality/steel at the beginning but dissipates 75% after 15 minutes in the glass, light citrus, light acidity, light tutti frutti sweetness, almost no agave… Palate: strong grassy/herbaceous flavor, acidity, citrus, hint of fruitiness. Finish is medium to long, grassy/herbaceous aromas, citrus, minerality or light metallic note, slightly bitter note persists. Sweetness is still quite sweet… I discovered that most, if not all NOM1480 blancos are very similar, the sweetness I had identified as agave sweetness is more fruity, quite unique, different from most blancos. Could it be due to a certain type of yeast or additive to achieve such consistency across so many brands?
